Drug Uses
Aphthasol is used as a stick in the mouth to treat aphthous ulcers (canker sores).
How Taken
Apply this medicine to the canker sore as almost immediately as you become aware of it. Wash your hands right away after using amlexanox paste. Keep using the medicine awaiting the sore is healed. However, if it is not healed after 10 days, check with your doctor. Do not get any of the stick in your eyes. If any gets in your eyes, wash them out with water immediately.
Warnings/Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic response to amlexanox. Also tell your health care expert if you are allergic to any other substances, such as preservatives or dyes. Amlexanox has not been deliberate in humans. However, studies in nature have not found that it causes any birth defects or other evils.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of this medicine, be relevant it as almost immediately as likely. However, if it is roughly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and leave back to your regular dosing timetable.
Possible Side Effects
Along with its wanted effects, a medicine may reason some unwanted effects. The following side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. However, check with your doctor if any of these effects carry on or are bothersome. Less grave side effects may include: burning, stinging, or pain on the part that medicine is applied; inflammation of mucous membranes; diarrhea; nausea.
Storage
Keep out of the reach of kids. Store away from heat and direct light. Do not stock up in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may cause the medicine to smash down. Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer wanted. Be sure that any not needed medicine is out of the reach of kids.
Overdose
Seek urgent situation medical attention if an overdose is suspected.
